In swimming competitions on Saturday India's Sujith T A won 100 m freestyle with a record time of 53.53, while his teammade Rahul Batra won a silver with a time of 54.67 and Arun Karuaratne of Sri Lanka secured bronze clocking 55.23.
Mohammad Rubel Rana of Bangladesh clocked 01:02.43 for a Gold Medal in 100m backstoke, Dipe Bairagi of India won a silver returning a time of 01:03.43, Faiz Muhammad of Pakistan won a bronze with a time of 01:04.82.
Conrad Anthony Francis of Sri Lanka won the 100M Butterfly with a new SAF Games record of 56.35, Md. Jewal Ahmed of Bangladesh won silver clocking 57.90 and Akbar Ali Mir of India secured a bronze with 59.01 sec.
The Indian Quartet won 4x 100 M freestyle medley with a SAF Games record of 03:39.40, Bangladesh won a silver clocking 03:44.84 and Sri Lanka a bronze by returning a time of 03:46.08.
Brigadier Zamurrad Khan, Brigadier Amjad Javed and Captain Zafar Mahmood awarded medals to the winners on this occasion.
