Al Qaeda threatens Saudi school director in Islamabad

Al-Qaeda activists have threatened to kill a Saudi school director in Islamabad, newspapers reported on Sunday.
The English-language Arab News quoted unspecified sources in Islamabad as saying Abdullah bin Hilal al-Jehani, director of the Saudi embassy school, received an anonymous letter on March 24 threatening to kill him if he and his family did not leave the country within 10 days.
The newspaper, which identified Jehani as a diplomat, said the threat was "an ostensible protest against Saudi support for the ongoing military operation in Waziristan against al-Qaeda."
But the Arabic-language daily Al-Watan, which also reported the threat, said it was in retaliation for Saudi Arabia's own crackdown on al-Qaeda in the kingdom.
