Kazakh grain exports fall

Kazakhstan's grain exports fell to 350,300 tonnes in March from 368,600 tonnes in February, the agriculture ministry said on Wednesday.
Kazakh grain exports in March were mainly to the post-Soviet Commonwealth of Independent States, the ministry said.
It said northern neighbour Russia had more than doubled imports of Kazakh grain to 179,700 tonnes in March from 74,900 tonnes in the previous month.
But Ukraine, hit last year by the worst crop in 50 years, had slashed imports to 75,800 tonnes from 135,400 tonnes in February.
Caspian neighbour Azerbaijan lowered grain purchases to 44,900 tonnes in March from 94,900 tonnes in February.
