Bill on amendments in Industrial Relations Ordinance (IRO) 2002 will soon be presented in the Parliament for discussion.
According to sources here on Sunday, few revisions in IRO-2002 were under consideration to remove the objections by International Labour Organisation (ILO) and trade unions after discussions with all stakeholders, including workers, employers and provincial labour departments.
Sources informed that IRO-2002 was not repugnant to fundamental rights guaranteed in the Constitution.
However, there is need to review some of its conventions such as Freedom of Association and Rights to Organise Collective Bargaining for which a Workers-Employees Forum had been set up for evaluation, he added.
