Fast bowler Shoaib Akhter will have to handle the burden of bowling in the third cricket Test against India, former star Sarfraz Nawaz said on Sunday.
"Fast bowler Shoaib Akhter will have to single-handedly win Pakistan the match and the series", he said.
The Indian team, he said, looks formidable after the return of regular skipper Sourav Ganguly with Pakistan suffering from a spate of injuries.
"Pakistan has been hit with a spate of injuries to key players like Umer Gul, man-of-the-match in second Test at Lahore, Abdur Razzaq, Moin Khan and Shabbir Ahmed while Muhammad Sami may only be half-fit", he said ahead of the 3rd Test starting at Pindi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
He said India's star batsman Sachin Tendulkar has struggled to lower down the batting order perhaps because of the reverse swing. India could play him as an opener in this Test while Sourav Ganguly might move down the order, he said.
