Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain has that government was endeavouring to bring about revolutionary changes in every sphere of life in the country.
He was addressing a big public meeting here on Sunday night.
He said that the government had taken numerous steps for providing basic facilities like telecommunication, gas, health and education to the masses living in remote and neglected parts of the country.
The Speaker National Assembly revealed that Sui gas would soon be provided in northern areas of Chaprar, Gondal, Saidpur and Head Marala roads shortly.
He informed that construction of a bridge at River Tavi in Bujwat would be started before June this year and this project would be completed at a cost of Rs 220 million.
Similarly, in order to protect the villages and agricultural land of Salehpur from fast erosion of Niky Tavi spuers would be constructed on both sides at a cost of Rs 6.6 million.
Amir Hussain on this occasion congratulated the newly elected Nazims and Naib Nazims in recent LB bye-elections.
Addressing the public meeting Sialkot District Nazim, Mian Naeem Javed said that district was mobilising Rs 4.0 billion on various development schemes pertaining to public welfare in the district.
He announced a special grant of Rs one million for Pindi Khokhar Union Council. While addressing the meeting Sialkot Tehsil Nazim Muhammad Akmal Cheema also announced Rs one million grant for Pindi Khokhar union council.
