The World Learning Bureau (WLB) is organising the 14th Pakistan International Education Exhibition (PIEE) in collaboration with the British Council and Higher Education Commission on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Punjab Education Minister Mian Imran Masud will inaugurate the exhibition.
The Bureau has been organising such exhibitions every year since 1993 and the 14th PIEE will be the biggest educational show in Lahore. Earlier the PIEE show, held by the Bureau in Karachi, had received an overwhelming response, where more than 30,000 students visited for career counselling.
Rashid-ul-Haq, Director World Learning Bureau, said, 'they are anticipating the same kind of response in Lahore and Islamabad as well.'
More than 100 learning institutions, including schools, polytechnic, colleges, universities, vocational training centres, foreign affiliated education institutes, education promotion organisations, and organisations of eight different countries have come to Pakistan to participate in PIEE-2004.
Around more than 30 universities registered with the British Council are also participating in the exhibition.
PIEE brings together students and interested educational institutions under one roof to assist and inform one another.
Thousands of eager students are expected to throng the avenues of the exhibition in Lahore on April 13-14, 2004 and Rawalpindi/ Islamabad on April 16-17, to learn more about the admission process for higher studies.
