A number of variations were witnessed in commodities in the wholesale markets, amid large business on Tuesday (April 13, 2004).
On the gram side, yellow peas was down Rs 10 to Rs 1650 and better was down Rs 20 to Rs 1680, dal yellow peas down Rs 50 to Rs 1750 and better down same amount to Rs 1780, beetle chana I down Rs 50 to Rs 1900 better down sharply to Rs 1940, beetle 50x50 down Rs 85 to Rs 1790 and better down Rs 72 to Rs 1830, beetle dal down Rs 25 to Rs 2075 and better down Rs 35 to Rs 2115, gram new quoted down at Rs 1420 and better and Rs 1480, gram dal down quoted at Rs 1730 and Rs 1770, and bajra quoted at Rs 1000.
Super basmati new inferior down Rs 100 to Rs 2500.
Guwar all stations up Rs 30 to Rs 1420 and better up same amount to Rs 1430.
Cereals masoor imported sharply up by Rs 200 to Rs 2700 and better up same amount to Rs 2800, masoor dal imported up sharply to be quoted at Rs 3200 and better at Rs 3300, masoor Iran up Rs 100 to Rs 2000 and better up same amount to Rs 2100, and dal up Rs 100 to Rs 2800 and better up Rs 100 to Rs 2900, tuver Punjab, Sindh quoted at Rs 1625 and Rs 1688, urad Burma quoted down at Rs 600 and Rs 610.
Til Sindh better up Rs 25 to Rs 1975 inferior quoted at Rs 1650 and cotton cakes new quoted at Rs 462.
