Convener, Union of Small & Medium Enterprises (Unisame), Zulfikar Thaver has been appointed as Chairman SME Task Force's Working Committee on valuation, monitoring and feedback mechanism.
The committee is entrusted to harmonise enterprise size categories and ensure the availability of reliable data.
The committee will conduct detailed scrutiny, discussion, amendment, approval of any specific recommendations, which may be drafted by the consultants at the request of the working committee.
In turn, this committee will present its recommendations to the task force as to which definitions and criteria should be applied regarding enterprise size categories and to measure the performance of SME sector.
It should be recalled that the SME Task Force has been constituted to frame SME development policy under the SME Sector Development Programme.
