Six-member Nepalese Police delegation headed by the Nepalese Police Chief, Kumar Koirala here on Wednesday met Inspector General of Police (IGP), Islamabad Fiaz Ahmad Khan Toru and discussed the matters of mutual interest.
The IGP briefed the visiting delegation about the present working, management and revamping plan of Islamabad Police. Senior Superintendent of Police, Shahid Nadeem Baloch was also present on the occasion. IGP gave an honorary shield to the Nepalese Police chief from Islamabad Police. Later, the delegation also visited police line headquarter.
LAHORE: A five-member delegation of Nepal Police officers called on Additional Inspector General Police Punjab Azhar Hassan Nadeem at Chung Training School and discussed matters of mutual interest.
DIG Training Salahuddin Niazi and other senior police officers were also present on the occasion.
AIG Azhar briefed the delegation about the steps taken by the government to check the terrorism under Police Order 2002.
He also briefed about the special package for Punjab police from federal government and Punjab chief minister for providing modern equipment.
He told them that modern vehicle, weapons, wireless sets and forensic equipment have been provided to police department.
Azhar Hassan told them about steps taken by the government for making modern syllabus for training and elimination of Thana culture.
The delegation appreciated the steps taken by the present government for the betterment of police department. President of the delegation Noverjat Mahindar said that Nepal police will get benefit from the training of Punjab police and services of Pakistani experts will also be taken in this regard.
