US Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Thursday the voice on a cassette broadcast by an Arabic television station earlier was that of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
"According to the information I have, it is the voice of bin Laden," Powell said according to a Polish translation of an exclusive interview given to Polish Television.
Powell brushed off an apparent truce offer in the audiotape attributed to bin Laden, in which he offered peace to European countries that refrained from aggression towards Muslims and pulled their troops out of the Muslim world.
