LHC calls report from LDA

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has called for a report from Director General Lahore Development Authority (LDA) within 10-day in a petition filed by widow of poet Habib Jalib.
The petitioner Mumtaz Begum contended that the government had announced to give a residential plot to her family in 1994.
It was contended that she had completed all the requisite formalities for the allotment of plot but the respondent LDA officials are reluctant to allot the plot.
She, therefore, prayed to the court to direct the respondents to allot her plot.
