"So is he or isn't he?"
"What? Who?"
"Is the President going to shed his uniform or isn't he?"
"Shed is an interesting word to use. I always used to use it for weight, you know shed weight, or build a shed, never heard of shedding a uniform before."
"Don't be facetious."
"Well, no, seriously I think that this is another English word that is only understood by us from the Sub-continent."
"Give me another."
"Lotaism."
"Ah yes. But why can't you be serious. I mean the guy has said that the Maulanas never kept to their side of the bargain so he may not keep to his side of the bargain either."
"I thought he remained quiet when explicitly asked whether he will shed the uniform as you insist on saying."
"Yes, but they say this interview was before the recent game of gooli danda that the two Musharrafite supporters are playing against each other. The Nawalas turned Musharraf Lotas are trying to say that he will keep to his promise to shed the uniform while the Jiyalas, with infinitely better training for being servile...right BB, are saying that the President should not shed his uniform."
"Personally I think the Nawalas had pretty good training as well - in how to be servile and get what you want. But maybe you are right after all...shedding the uniform is another way of saying shed the excess weight and that..."
"Why can't you be serious for once? A certain Maulvi Iqbal Haider, head of the Awami Himayat Tehrik filed a constitutional petition on Wednesday challenging the 17th Amendment and requesting the court to suspend the operation of the article that requires the president to shed his military uniform."
"So what is this Awami Himayat Tehrik? Never heard of this before. Is it a component of the MMA - the Maulanas Muscles Authority - or another breakaway Lota faction, or is it something else."
"Don't know. But isn't this case similar to the Sharif's exile papers."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, that was an agreement between individuals and so is this - one can renege on it 'cause he is in power while the Sharif's can't 'cause they are out...boy, are they out?"
"But Musharraf has to contend against the seventeenth amendment and the Sharif's signed a piece of paper that may..."
"Hush. That is hardly a deterrent."
