The Karachi Port handled 105,770 tonnes of cargo including 82,398 tonnes import and 23,372 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 36,770 tonnes dry and 69,000 tonnes liquid cargo.
Two ships namely Orient Stride and Kota Intan sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz Global Prosperity, Kota Intan, Amphion and MT Swat are currently at the berths.
M. V. Global Prosperity expected to sail on Saturday, while two vessels viz Amphion and MT Swat are expected to sail on Sunday.
Five ships namely Nuryan Bu, Kota Tegap, Keefan, Ponl Mahe and Astra due to arrive on Saturday, while three vessels viz Corinthiakos, Global Leader and Malakand are due to arrive on Sunday.
Four ships namely Torm Margrethe, Bunga Bidara, Kota Waris and Chahat are due to arrive on Monday.
A total cargo volume of 73,151 tonnes including 48,331 tonnes import and 24,820 tonnes export cargo was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 6,416 tonnes edible oil; 11,618 tonnes chemicals; 19,349 tonnes coal and 35,768 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two vessels namely MSC Socotra and Safmarine Pakistan sailed out to sea during the report period, while two more ships namely Northern Dignity and Chemstar Brave are expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of three vessels viz Northern Dignity, Pacific Endeavour and Safmarine Pakistan are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely Saudi Tabuk and Hotaka Maru due to take berths on Saturday.
Three vessels viz Wismar Winner, Wan Hai-303 and Padang Halaban due to arrive on Saturday, while two more ships namely Gulf Success and Sinar Sabang are due to arrive on Sunday.
