Modest fluctuations were marked on the commodity wholesale markets where trading remained slower during the week ended on April 17, 2004.
The commodities fluctuated were castorseeds, wheat, guwar, Irri-9, plastic mouldings, chemicals, yellow peas and dal, beetle chana I, beetle 50x50 dal, gram new and dal, bajra, Urad Burma, til Sindh, cotton and rapeseed cakes.
However, castorseeds Lasbela and Sindh all stations inferior up Rs 25 to 575 and better quoted at Rs 600, wheat up Rs 5 to Rs 975, Guwar in two revision was up Rs 70 to Rs 1420 and better up Rs 60 to Rs 1430, Irri-9 Sindh up Rs 5 to Rs 1550, and inferior quoted at Rs 1450.
PLASTIC MOULDINGS: HDPE film TR144 down 37 paisa to Rs 33.75, HDPE blow Kuwait down Re 1 to Rs 35, PP injection grade India down around 50 paisa to Rs 33.75, Kuwait up Rs 50 to Rs 35, ABS polylac 707 up Rs 65 to Rs 2100, and Khumo up Rs 40 to Rs 2060.
CHEMICALS: N.J. Taiwan up Rs 16 to Rs 121, formic acid from Germany up Rs 2 to Rs 53, sulphonic acid soft up Re 1 to Rs 62, PVA Japan down Rs 4 to Rs 155, Caustic Taiwan down Re 1 to Rs 22, Rangolite C Germany down Re 1 to Rs 125, acetic acid Taiwan up Rs 4 to Rs 70 and Korea up Rs 2.50 to Rs 66.
MILK POWDER: skimmed Germany 150 to Rs 3650, Dairy Crest up Rs 1125 to Rs 3750 Jute Twine: 20x3 Bawany lost 50 paisa to Rs 29.50, Hessian 45x9 up Rs 100 to Rs 1400, yellow peas twice lost to be last quoted inferior at Rs 1615 and better at Rs 1800, dal yellow peas twice revised down to be last quoted at Rs 1725 and better at Rs 1760, beetle chana I twice shed to be last quoted at Rs 1825 and better at Rs 1860, beetle dal lost to be quoted last at Rs 2050 and better at Rs 2090.
Guwar inferior up Rs 25 to Rs 1445 and better up Rs 30 to Rs 1460, Makai inferior up Rs 100 to Rs 950, and better quoted at Rs 1000, beetle 50x50 shed Rs 85 to Rs 1790 and better shed Rs 72 to Rs 1830, Masoor imported up Rs 200 to Rs 2700, masoor dal imported quoted at Rs 3200, and Rs 3300, masoor Iran up Rs 100 to Rs 2000 and Rs 2100, dal Iran inferior up Rs 100 to Rs 2800 and better up Rs 100 to Rs 2900, tuver Punjab quoted at Rs 1625 and Rs 1688, urad Burma quoted down at Rs 600 and Rs 610, Til Sindh inferior quoted at Rs 1650, and better up Rs 25 to Rs 1975.
KIRANA ITEMS: white pepper lost Rs 200 to Rs 7600, black pepper from Vietnam up Rs 50 to Rs 4100, cloves up Rs 30 to Rs 9200, poppyseed down Rs 140 to Rs 860, dry ginger rose by Rs 300 to Rs 5100, sago lost Rs 50 to Rs 1100 and aniseed lost Rs 100 to Rs 5000, rapeseed Nawabshah down Rs 30 to Rs 760 and better down same amount to Rs 770, rapeseed cakes quoted at Rs 265 and Rs 270, cotton cakes new quoted at Rs 462.
FRIDAY'S: beetle chana 50x50 quoted at Rs 1740 and Rs 1780, beetle dal down Rs 25 to Rs 2050 and better quoted down at Rs 2090, gram new quoted at Rs 1615 and Rs 1650 and gram dal quoted at Rs 1950 and Rs 2000, sugar sharply up at Rs 1720, and better at Rs 1745, gur sharply up inferior quoted at Rs 1100 and better at Rs 1750, guwar up Rs 5 all stations to Rs 1450 and better up Rs 5 to Rs 1465.
Wheat new up Rs 15 to Rs 990, rapeseed Dadu up Rs 30 to Rs 690 and better up at Rs 700, cotton cakes up Rs 3 to Rs 465.
Twine 20x3 brown Bawani down 50 paisa to Rs 29, 16x3 CRT/Indus down Re 1 to Rs 29, 8x3 quoted at Rs 45, 40x2 Bawani brown down 50 paisa to Rs 27.50, Hessian clothes 45x10 Amin down Rs 5 to Rs 1350 and 45x9 down Rs 100 to Rs 1300.
SATURDAY'S: Yellow peas up Rs 10 to Rs 1625 and better up Rs 5 to Rs 1655, dal yellow peas inferior quoted at Rs 1640 and better quoted at Rs 1670, beetle chana I up Rs 25 to Rs 1850 and better up Rs 20 to Rs 1880, beetle chana 50x50 up Rs 10 to Rs 1750 and better up same amount to Rs 1790, gram new quoted higher at Rs 1720 and better at Rs 1750, bajra quoted higher at Rs 1050 and better at Rs 1100.
Wheat Sindh quoted at Rs 975 and from Punjab quoted at Rs 965, guwar all stations up Rs 20 to Rs 1470 and better up Rs 15 to Rs 1480, masoor Iran quoted at Rs 2000 and Rs 2100, dal Irani at Rs 2800 and Rs 2900, rapeseed Nawabshah up Rs 15 to Rs 775 and better up Rs 10 to Rs 780, rapeseed Mirpur quoted down at Rs 690 and Rs 700 and cotton cakes quoted at Rs 465 and 470. Kirana item cloves up Rs 300 to Rs 8900, sago down Rs 10 to Rs 1090 and cuminseed down Rs 190 to Rs 2400.
