Sindh High Court on Monday repeated notice, after lapse of two years, to Noor Muhammad, a complainant who lodged FIR against ex-senator Asif Ali Zardari and others in Murtaza Bhutto murder case.
SHC's single bench comprising Justice Ghulam Rabbani repeated said notice while hearing the quashment application of spouse of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto from said killing case.
The notice was earlier issued to complainant on March 28, 2002, which was not served by him.
The court on Monday directed the office to repeat notice to complainant for a date to be fixed by office.
Murtaza Bhutto, brother of Benazir Bhutto and Chairman of Pakistan People Party (SB) was killed along with seven others, including his close aide Ashiq Jatoi, on September 20, 1996 near his residence in Clifton, Karachi when he was coming after attending the party meeting from Surjani Town area Karachi.
Asif Zardari, Shoaib Suddle, then DIG police Karachi, Wajid Durrani, then senior superintendent police South, Masood Sharif, then chief of intelligence bureau, Shahid Hiyat, then SP of Saddar, Rai Muhammed Tahir, then ASP of Darkhshan police, Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani, then SHO of Garden police station, Agha Muhammed Jameel, then SHO of Napier PS, and other policemen were accused in the case.
The FIR number 443/96 was lodged in Clifton police station on November 9, 1996 against above said accused.
