Under the mega project of Punjab Government Faisalabad-Jaranwala dual carriageway would be completed in a record period of four months up to June 30, with an estimated cost of Rs 260 million.
On the completion of this road the distances between both the cities would be minimised and new paths of socio-economic progress would open in this area.
This was stated by Provincial Minister for Communication and Works, Chaudhry Muhammad Zaheeruddin Khan while meeting with the different delegations of the citizens in Jaranwala.
Tehsil Nazim Jaranwala Major Abdul Rehman Rana (Retd), Superintending Engineer Highways Chaudhry Muhammad Rafique, XEN Highways Abdul Ghafoor Saqib, SDO Rana Nazir Ahmad and elite of the area were also present on this occasion.
The provincial minister said that the Punjab Government was working on a comprehensive programme to construct durable roads for providing convenient and safe travelling facilities to the people of the province.
He said that with the special favour of chief minister Punjab, all the funds had been provided for the construction of 30-km long dual carriage Faisalabad Jaranwala road up to Morh 40.
He said that with a view to completing this project within the shortest time the construction work had been allotted to six groups.
In this way four groups would construct six km of road each while two groups would construct the parts of three km each.
On a demand of the citizens of the area, the minister said that steps would be taken for the construction of Jaranwala Nankana and Buchiana Kadial road besides constructing a bridge on a dangerous turn of Jaranwala Satiana road.
On this occasion, S.E. Highways Chaudhry Muhammad Rafique, giving briefing to the minister told that the construction work of Faisalabad Jaranwala road was going on very swiftly and tarring work had been started by Royal Construction Company from Dhuddi Wala to Makkuwana.
He said that construction companies such as Royal Construction Company, Latif Faza Engineering Corporation, Shafique Brothers, Yasin Brothers and A.M. Construction company were taking part in the construction of this highway.
The minister directed that special attention should be given towards the beauty, durability and superior quality of construction of this road.
