It is indeed an honour for Pegasus Consultancy and our overseas partners, CEMS of Singapore to organise this mega event of IGATEX Pakistan.
IGATEX, being held successfully for the third time in 3 consecutive years, shows the vitality of such events as they provide an ideal platform to the industry leaders and key decision-makers for interaction and exchange of ideas.
IGATEX is a true technology showcase, benefiting not only the Pakistani textile manufacturing industry, but also the international producers of textile and made-ups.
It is very encouraging for us to see the overwhelming support received from the Pakistani textile and garment industry, who anticipate the holding of this event the whole year round, so that the local industry could learn the new technologies being applied all over the world in this industry.
This show has now assumed a much greater regional significance as many trade visitors are expected from all over this region to visit the exhibition.
After the overwhelming success of IGATEX 2003, CEMS and Pegasus have decided to take this event to new heights.
As a result of our combined efforts and an incredible positive response from the exhibitors for last year's event, we have been able to confirm up to 400 international and local exhibitors in five halls.
I would also like to thank my partners, CEMS of Singapore, for supporting us & putting such a tremendous effort in organising such a show as IGATEX 2004. With special thanks to the TEMSAD of Turkey, who have played an active role by bringing together all the Turkish companies, the largest single country participation in this event.
My sincerest appreciation goes to the respective ministries of the Government of Pakistan and the various trade bodies of the garment and the textile sector of Pakistan for their constant support in making this series of events successful year after year.
In the end, I would like to welcome all the participants, the visitors, and the dignitaries to this event and hope that their participation proves beneficial and successful.
