The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Yemen, Hussein Tahir Bin Yahya will arrive here on Sunday on a two-day official visit to Pakistan. He will be accompanied by a two-member delegation.
During his visit, Yemen and Pakistan will sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of a political consultation mechanism.
The inaugural round of bilateral consultations under the MoU will be held in Islamabad in which various matters of mutual interest would come under discussion.
The following rounds of annual talk will be held alternatively at Sana and Islamabad. The deputy foreign minister will pay a courtesy call on the Chairman Senate and visit foreign service academy, where Yemeni diplomats are regularly trained.
He will also call on the foreign minister to discuss bilateral regional and international issues.
The visit of the Yemeni deputy foreign minister is a manifestation of strong desire of the two countries to reinforce the existing ties of friendship and co-operation to their mutual advantage.
