According to a spokesman of KWSB, under the head of water and sewerage bills, the tax department of KWSB has recovered Rs 523.42 million which is Rs 45.17 million higher than the amount collected for the same period of the last year.
The break-up of this collected amount shows that out of the total Rs 523.42 million, Rs 406.5 million has been collected under the head of water, while the remaining 116.5 million has been recovered under sewerage charges.
In this respect, the KWSB MD has directed the tax department to further expedite its recovery campaign of water and sewerage dues so that adequate funds could be allocated for the ongoing development work of the city.
He gave credit to the City Nazim, Naimatullah Khan and the town Nazims for the better recovery results of the department. As per the direction of the city Nazim, he also directed the officials of KWSB to hold recovery camps in different towns of the city.
KWSB MD pointed out that these camps would be held in complete consultation and co-operation of respective UC Nazims.
These camps would take utmost care to save the consumers from any difficulties and provide incentives and relief to them.
The consumers paying dues willingly for the current fiscal year 2003-2004 would be provided the easy instalment facility, he added.
