The Karachi Port handled 74,460 tonnes of cargo including 54,264 tonnes import and 20,196 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 30,587 tonnes dry and 43,873 tonnes liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Safmarine Pakistan, Naga, Ocean Gem, Skolten, Lou Qing, Eax Sanctity and Hyundai Advance sailed out to sea during the report period.
Six vessels viz Hyundai Advance, Kota Intan, Apl Melbourne, Commuter, Chem Star Ace and Eastern Star are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Kota Intan, Apl Melbourne and Commuter expected to sail on Saturday, while Chem Star Ace is expected to sail on Sunday.
MV Ocean Luna due to arrive on Sunday, while four vessels viz Amphion, Kota Wangi, Katsina and Kota Teraju are due to arrive on Monday.
A total cargo volume of 74,950 tonnes including 48,600 tonnes import and 26,350 tonnes export cargo was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 7,669 tonnes edible oil; 13,811 tonnes crude oil; 13,030 tonnes coal; 9,721 tonnes chemicals and 30,719 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV Wester Moor, Safmarine Pakistan and MSC Jordan sailed out to sea during the report period, while two more ships namely MT Johar and Docomo are expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of two vessels viz Athenoula, and Bunga Melawis Satu are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three vessels viz CV Al-Wajba, Iris and Kimoliatis due to arrive on Saturday, while another ship CV Wan Hai-302 is due to arrive on Sunday.
