I am happy to learn that Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industries Research (PCSIR) is playing a proactive role in development of technology for industrial use to reduce our reliance on imports.
Recent successful transfer of technology by PCSIR to M/s Marva Beverages for local production of concentrates for carbonated beverages using indigenous raw materials is step in this direction.
The endeavors of PCSIR would therefore, augment government's efforts to prepare our industry to take advantage from the opportunities being provided by globalization.
While acknowledging PCSIR's efforts to save valuable foreign exchange through scientific research. I am happy to note that quality could testing of every batch on daily basis will provide confidence to the consumers that they are using a good quality hygienic drink.
In the end, I hope that more industries and entrepreneurs, would seek assistance of PCSIR for import substitution.
