MARVA BEVERAGES (Pvt) Ltd was established with a vision to manufacture concentrate to be used in carbonated soft drinks, manufacturing of PET bottles and installing of soft drinks filling units under strict hygienic conditions equipped with adequate quality control systems.
MARVA, is a name of flower having exceptional aroma and was selected among the names suggested by people in response to PCSIR's press release.
Presently, MARVA has launched Cola flavour in the market from its Gujranwala filling units, just to establish restricted distribution net-work Orange flavour is coming soon.
MARVA GROUP is planning to undertake multi-farious manufacturing/commercial activities out lined as under:
1. Approximately, 85% of the total fruit and vegetable production of our country is either uneconomically utilised or wasted due to lack of preservation/processing facilities. MARVA GROUP, is negotiating with internationally branded marketing companies to manufacture fruit and vegetable products under buy back arrangement thereby converting 85% of the produce into an effective economic factor.
2. Pakistan is blessed with a variety of HERBS having disease prevention properties. This field has not yet been fully explored though PCSIR has already done a lot of research in this direction and has been able to achieve good results but private sector failed to respond to commercialize the products. MARVA has taken-up the assignment to acquire the formulation to promote health with taste.
3. MARVA is also planning to manufacture Syrups and Jams using herbs with disease prevention properties.
4. To-days life pattern offers nothing but constant strain and stress resulting in Psychosomatic disequilibrium.
In our country, such deficiencies are taken care of by using-Vitamin tablets, which a common man can hardly afford, while in developed countries this phenomenon is countered by regular use of energy drinks that offers not only liquid but also much needed valuable additives.
In the second phase, MARVA has the plans to introduce various types of energy drinks at affordable prices.
5. The items falling under the categories of eatables are sensitive to health. MARVA has given top-priority to quality so the PCSIR's service will be hired to check and maintain the desired quality at the same time through the courtesy of this supplement, the attention of relevant authorities is drawn to fact that it should be made mandatory for the manufacturer to have a quality certificate from competent institutions.
6. As per the agreement, signed between PCSIR and MARVA Beverage (Pvt) Ltd, PCSIR will provide formulation of making concentrate of COLA, LEMONADE, ORANGE and RED HERBAL SYRUP under transfer of technology arrangement.
It is known fact, that the process of production starting from laboratory to commercial scale is not only delicate but also extremely complicated one.
The ease with which the whole process was carried through by PCSIR exhibits the dedication and skill of our scientists.
The agreement signing ceremony was presided over by Dr Atta-ur-Rehman, Minister of Science and Technology, graced by Mr Shehzad Husan Pervez, Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology and very well attended by galaxy of renewed dignitaries and scientists and businessmen.
FOREIGN INVESTMENT: MARVA has successfully negotiated with Australians for investment in Pakistan to the true of Australian Dollar TEN MILLION in phases alongwith transfer of technology for food products similarly, MARVA is also negotiating with Chinese not only the invest but also to transfer the technology as well.
FOREIGN EXCHANGE EARNINGS: MARVA GROUP has signed an agreement with BANGLADESHI PRIVATE SECTOR ORGANISATION to provide them with the concentrate and technical expertise. Similar efforts are on with Indonesians and Malaysian Private Sector. MARVA GROUP hopes to earn handsome foreign exchange by exporting non-conventional items.
