The Lahore University of Management Sciences (Lums) and the Asia Foundation have planned to hold six regional and one National Roundtables on a 'Dialogue on Democracy' to let business leaders and professionals debate on Pakistan's economic, judicial and development systems and their relationship to business opportunities, investment possibilities and access to the global market.
Dr Rasul Bakhsh Rais, a prominent political scientist Ph.D in Political Science from University of California, Dr Faisal Bari Ph.D in Economics from McGill University and the Osama Siddique LLM from Harvard University, through Lums Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) will conduct the regional roundtables in Karachi, Quetta, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Peshawar and Islamabad to be held on April 30, May 12 and 19, June 2, 9 and 16, respectively. The National Roundtable will be hosted at Lums Lahore.
A report outlining it's findings will be prepared at the end of each roundtable and a compendium of these reports will be prepared and disseminated widely among businessmen, professionals and media organisations after the national roundtable.
