CSCE raw sugar futures were expected to improve by a small amount at the open on Thursday based on light buying in the London sugar market, floor sources said.

London sugar futures were mixed on Thursday with some follow-through selling weighing on prices, and trade buying at the lows, traders said.
On Wednesday, active July lost 0.38 cent to finish at 6.73 cents, after setting a new contract high at 7.30 cents a lb. July's session low was 6.70 cents. May sugar fell 0.24 cent to 6.40 cents a lb, in a 6.40 to 6.87 cents range.
Several other contracts set new lifetime highs. The board ended with 0.12 cent to 0.30 cent losses.
