Fiat plants, except Melfi, back to normal

Fiat said all but one of its Italian car plants resumed normal production on Friday as some workers remained on strike at the southern Melfi factory for a 12th day.
However, the striking workers' decision to lift a blockade of the Melfi plant on Thursday had freed up components for shipment to other Fiat production lines in Italy, a Fiat spokesman said.
"As of this morning, all our other plants are back to normal," the spokesman said. "We are getting the supply of components needed from Melfi."
