The Minster for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Chaudhry Nauraiz Shakoor on Saturday said that continuity of restructuring and deregulation, especially for the petroleum sector has attracted foreign investors.
The continuity of the restructuring and deregulation policies of President Musharraf is now showing the positive impact on the national economy as well the foreign investors during the recent visit of Prime Minister Jamali to four Asian countries were widely attracted to invest in off-shore and on-shore exploration for oil and gas.
The Minister, who accompanied the prime minister as a member of entourage, farmed the visit very successful and meaningful adding that it will open up new avenues of bilateral co-operation in diverse fields between Pakistan and the respective countries.
Nauraiz said during the visit of Laos, both countries agreed to Cupertino in the mining sector and to exchange expertise for boosting the mutually beneficial relations.
He said Pakistan has offered training to the Cambodian engineers in its oil and gas institutions so the country could benefit from our expertise in achieving successful hydrocarbon discoveries and updating of the petroleum sector.
