Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (PITAC) will soon be got affiliated with some degree awarding educational institution of the country.
According to PITAC sources on Saturday, the affiliation will help attract youth to the training programmes offered by the PITAC, the institution with laboratories equipped with the state-of-the-art machinery.
The decision regarding the affiliation was taken during Federal Industries and Production Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi's recent visit to the centre in Lahore.
The Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) has provided PITAC with the latest moulding and computer aid design machinery for the benefit of industrial clusters located in Lahore and the adjoining districts.
Meanwhile, PITAC is holding a seminar here by the end of this month to make the people aware of its role in the technology transfer and dissemination of technological information to the industrial sector. The seminar will be attended by stakeholders from the Pakistani industry.
