What is wrong with the nervous system of the twin cities? Every disorder in our body causes pain, which is instantly registered by our nervous system that makes us run for relief and painkillers.
But the disorder in our transport system is with certain organs, which don't seem to be connected with the nervous system at all.
Having replaced vans by Varan buses, it is time to replace the capital's nervous system as well, something that can at least feel the pain if it can't suggest a remedy.
I am not a transporter to oppose the Varan administration, but I am a commuter like thousands waiting for hours to climb into a Varan bus.
In fact, I am admirer of Uzma Gul's approach of modernising the transport system of the twin cities, but it should not be at the cost of commuters.
President General Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Jamali and especially General Hamid Gul should interfere in this regard and solve the commuters problems caused by the Varan.
