RY Khan District Food Controller (DFC) Malik Khuda Bakhsh has warned that anyone hoarding wheat grain in excess of their requirement would have to surrender the extra quantity in favour of the government.
Talking to APP here on Monday, the DFC said that hoarders have been told to voluntarily surrender extra quantity of wheat or it would be shifted by force to he government godowns after payment according to the official rate.
It was learnt that the Punjab food department has so far procured 46,430 tonnes of wheat (464,300 bags) against a target of 1.5 million bags.
