The importance of quality and objective-oriented education for the durable and accelerated progress cannot be denied, that is why the plan of establishing the educational institutions of high standard around Faisalabad city is being implemented under a phased programme.
This was stated by DCO Tahir Hussain while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Divisional Model College, Madina Town Campus. EDO Finance & Planning Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry; EDO Works Chaudhry Riaz Ahmad, Rector of the institution Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Sarwar (Retd), Headmaster Senior Section Main Campus Zahid Hussain, Headmistress Junior Section Main Campus Mrs. Athar Ejaz, Headmistress Madina Town Campus Mrs Sadia Majeed, elite of the area, parents and male/female students were also present on this occasion.
DCO said that the requirements of forming a modern and civilised society could only be fulfilled by promoting the knowledge and wisdom and for that purpose special attention was given to the character-building of the students studying in these institutions with a view to polishing their mental as well as physical capabilities and making them the human-beings of the appreciable qualities.
He said that the services of professional consultants had been acquired for assessing the bent of mind, field of interest and personality of the students studying in these institutions and the reports prepared by these experts would help the parents and teachers to improve the future of the children.
He said that after setting up a branch of Divisional Public School in Ghulam Mohammadabad area planning was also being made to set up its branch in Samanabad so that the facilities of the institutions having pleasant and quality educational environment could also be provided to the children of the residents of that area.
He further said that the thinking of college administration and the parents was alike in respect of good education of the children and the institution would try its level best to come up to their expectations. He sought maximum co-operation of the parents for the bright future of the children and further progress of the educational institutions.
Earlier, Rector of the College, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Sarwar (Retd), while presenting the address of welcome said that the concept of setting up the branches of Divisional Model College and Divisional Public School was presented by DCO Tahir Hussain, which had been embodied as a beautiful reality through constant struggle and devotion.
He said that with the completion of these projects the educational requirements of the people of different areas of the city would be fulfilled.
The students of different classes made speeches and presented national songs, tableaus, comedy items and other colourful programmes and got appreciation of the participants.
