An 18-member trade delegation of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) will be leaving on a 10-day visit of Kenya and South Africa from May 19.
LCCI Executive Committee Member Khalid Rafiq will be heading this delegation, while EC members, Mubashar Sheikh and Sheikh Arshad will be his deputy.
This delegation is undertaking visit to Kenya and South Africa, as a part of LCCI's strategy aimed at exploring new markets as well as trade opportunities, said LCCI chief Mian Anjum Nisar, in a statement here on Monday.
He said earlier 80 percent exports of Pakistan was restricted to only 10 to 12 countries, and it was the effort of the LCCI that exports should be expanded to all over the world.
Prior to this, three LCCI delegations have successfully toured India, China, Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Tajikistan and the present one was the fourth delegation under the sitting leadership of the Chamber.
This delegation included representatives from pharmaceutical, plastic and chemical, leather industry, textile, construction, and cosmetics.
It would also hold an exhibition in both countries during its visit besides, meeting to representatives of various chambers, trade organisations, and officials of Pakistan embassies present in Kenya and South Africa.
