The president, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Mian Anjum Nisar, has urged the government to take immediate necessary steps for improving the law and order situation in the country.
In a statement issued here on Monday, Anjum said that repeated incidents of theft, murder and dacoity have left a negative impact on the business.
Referring to murder of the driver of the Pakistan Guarantee Export Corporation chief and snatching of Rs 1250,000 as well as snatching of car from former LCCI chief Sheikh Mushtaq at on gun-point, he said traders were feeling themselves insecure after such incidents.

He said that law-enforcement agencies have also failed to perform their duties and a clear example in this connection was killing of six persons of a family in Lahore and murder of the complainant of this incident.
