Strengthening and cementing further the relations with Central Asian States is the cornerstone of Pakistan's foreign policy.
This was stated by Sindh Assembly Speaker Muraffar Hussain Shah here on Sunday night.
He was speaking at a dinner he hosted for the visiting parliamentary delegation from Kyrgyzstan.
The eight-member delegation was led by Kyrgyzstan Assembly Speaker Borubaev Altai Asylkanovich.
Muzaffar said that Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan share a common history, common religion and have commonality of interests in the Central and the South Asia.
He said that in the wake of globalisation, the emphasis is on regional economic and political co-operation.
He said that the completion of Gwadar deep-sea port and Karakoram Highway would connect the Central Asia with South Asia.
He expressed confidence that the ties between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan would grow further with the passage of time.
Sindh Assembly speaker extended heartiest welcome to the leader and the members of the parliamentary delegation. He expressed hope that they would be undertaking a visit to Pakistan again soon.
In his address, the leader of the visiting parliamentary delegation, Borubaev Altai Asylkanovich, spoke of the trade and commercial ties between the two countries and expressed confidence that these would grow further in the years ahead.
He said that Pakistan was developing in an extensive manner and that its rating in the international community is increasing day by day. Asylkanovich said that the brotherly countries of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan have a lot in common and their ties would grow further in future.
He also recalled his visit to the Sindh Assembly building earlier in the evening. He thanked for the warm and cordial welcome extended to them during their visit to Pakistan.
Besides others, the dinner was attended by Sindh Ministers Irfanullah Khan Marwat and Choudhary Iftikhar, leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, and Qaim Ali Shah.
