Hub Power Company (Hubco) said that the generator which failed last month would be again operational during second half of August.
According to a notice issued to the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the company said that the initial technical investigations has been completed by experts from Ansaldo and accordingly it is expected that repair work will be completed in early August and after testing Unit No.4 would be again operational during second half of August.
The company further said that the repair costs of the Generator Stator are recoverable under the company''s insurance.
The remaining three units of 300 megawatts each, a total of 900 megawatts are fully available for dispatch. "We confirm that this fault should not affect the company''s ability to either service debt or pay the final dividend", the company said.
