Experts Advisory Cell of the Ministry of Industries & Production has chalked out a comprehensive plan to make the industrial sector more vibrant, innovative, dynamic and globally competitive under the WTO regime by integrating it with the international market and face the possible challenges in the coming days.
This was stated by Engineer Zahid Aziz, EAC chief, in the concluding session of a series of seminars on matters related to WTO agreements, here today (Thursday).
He added that EAC was trying to act as a facilitator for public and private sector organisations assisting them in WTO-related matters. He said that this interactive programme of EAC was distinct from all other WTO awareness courses in a way that more stress was put on understanding the legal texts of agreements related to WTO.
Engineer Zahid Aziz further said that EAC was successful in equipping its staff with the basic understanding of the WTO agreements, which may enable them to help the small and medium sized organisations in their problems, pertaining to WTO regime.
Later, 28 participants were given certificates.
