Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Punjab has arrested Naeem Ashfaq Managing Director of Delta International, and his brother-in-law Haroon Rashid for smuggling heroin through courier parcels and recovered 7 kgs of heroin.
According to details, Brig. Ashfaq ur Rashid, Force Commander ANF Punjab received information that an international gang of drug traffickers is involved in smuggling heroin to various countries through courier parcels.
The Managing Director Delta International got booked a parcel through a courier company-FEDEX at Ghalib Market Gulberg, Lahore on April 15, 2004.
On receipt of information, a raiding team conducted raid at the courier company's office and the parcel was taken into custody.
On thorough search, the team also recovered heroin from carton, which was booked against fictitious address of Bangladesh, while the final destination of parcel was England.
