Workshop for Fata journalists concludes

A training workshop on news reporting and familiarisation with national policies will conclude at Information Service Academy (ISA) here on Saturday.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed will be the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of the six-day workshop.
Sixteen journalists from Fata representing regional and national newspapers attended the workshop.
It was the first such workshop organised by ISA to enhance professional skills of journalists and enable them to perform their duties in a better way.
The other aim is to provide them information about major national policies and improve their understanding of national issues, government policies and decisions.
The workshop was part of governments' efforts to bring Fata in the national mainstream.
The participants received training about news gathering and reporting techniques, balancing political and developmental issues, foreign policy, Pakistan's official stand on various issues related to external relations, Pakistan's security concerns, media laws, war on terror and media perceptions, etc.
