The rupee on Saturday recovered 30 paisa versus euro in the open market for buying and selling at Rs 70.25 and Rs 70.55, respectively, dealers said.
Profit-taking was seen in the single European currency as people visited the market to gain profits from euro's higher rate, they added.
They said that the rupee might move slightly versus the euro in the coming days.
The rupee maintained its overnight levels versus dollar for buying and selling at Rs 58.70 and Rs 58.80, respectively.
The dollar fell versus major currencies as hopes faded for rising US interest rates, dealers said.
INTERBANK RATES: The rupee shed two paisa versus dollar for buying and selling at Rs 57.76 and Rs 57.78, respectively, in interbank market.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The rupee managed to recover some of its earlier losses, as it improved its worth by 15-paisa in relation to the greenback amid selling pressure on the local currency markets on Saturday.
The investors, soon after resumption of trading, started offloading their greenback's holdings that generated a selling pressure. As a result, the dollar closed considerably low on the weekend.
The dollar, which resumed trading at Rs 58.70 and Rs 58.80 as its buying and selling rates, respectively, could not sustain at these levels mainly on account of selling pressure.
The dollar fell down and closed at Rs 58.65 and Rs 58.75 on buying and selling counters, respectively, as compared with Rs 58.80 and Rs 58.90 of Friday, the currency dealers said.
Likewise, the rupee showed strength and registered improvement in its worth against the pound sterling. The pound's buying rate declined from Friday's Rs 105.00 to Rs 104.55, while selling rate reduced from Rs 105.40 to Rs 105.00, the dealers added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar showed an improvement of 25 paisa against the rupee on the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Saturday.
The dollar opened at Rs 58.70 (buying) and Rs 58.80 (selling) against the last rates of Rs 58.45 (buying) and Rs 58.55 (selling). It did not observe any further change in the second session and closed at Rs 58.70 (buying) and Rs 58.80 (selling).
Pound sterling opened at Rs 104.70 (buying) and Rs 104.90 (selling) against the last rates of Rs 103.20 (buying) and Rs 103.40 (selling). It did not observe further change in the second session and closed at Rs 104.70 (buying) and Rs 104.90 (selling).
Canadian dollar opened at Rs 42 (buying) and Rs 42.10 (selling) against the same previous rates. It did not observe any further change in the second spell and closed at Rs 42 (buying) and Rs 42.10 (selling).
