Religious scholar Professor Ahmed Rafiq Akhtar has said that the life of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) is a beacon of light, and solution of all the problems confronting to Muslim Ummah lies in following his Sunnah.
While addressing a function arranged by the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) here on Saturday, Akhtar maintained that the Muslim Ummah is facing manifold problems due to not following the Islamic teachings.
He said Islam is a religion of peace, which always stressed for protecting the rights of others. He was of the view that concept of Jehad has been misinterpreted by some elements.
President LHCBA Ahmed Awais said on the occasion that they would continue their struggle for the protection of fundamental rights of the people of Pakistan, strengthening of democracy, independence of judiciary and supremacy of law.
