The Goethe Institut in Karachi is starting its new programme this month with screening of seven German film from June 7 to June 24, 2004 and the eighth film of the series will be screened on July 1, 2004.
All the films, which are from the German Heimatfilm group of the 50s will be shown at the Alliance Francaise auditorium in Clifton on every Monday beginning June 7, 2004 at 7:30 pm.
The German films being shown from June 7 to July 1, 2004 every Monday are in sequence as follows: The Fisher girl of lake Constance, High up on the mountain, The girl of the Moors, Roses bloom on the grave in the Measdows, The Foreser of Siltherwald, Lady country doctor, The farmers perjury and the black forest girl. The original sound is in German while there will be sub-title in English. Goethe Institute fans have welcomed this revival of the Goethe Institute activities in Karachi.
