Lahore High Court has allowed an interim bail to Nazim Data Ganjbaksh Town Khawaja Hassan till June 16 and issued notices to the respondents for the next date of hearing.
The petitioner's counsel contended that the applicant was arrested from Lahore when PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
He said that the respondent's district administration arrested him under Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance while the police officials registered other fake cases against him in order to keep him in jail or to arrest him again in another case.
He therefore prayed to the court to allow him a bail and direct the respondents to act in accordance with the law.
The court after hearing his counsel at length allowed him the interim bail and issued notices to the respondents for next date of hearing.
