Bangladesh police raided a training camp for suspected Islamic militants in dense forest near Chittagong port city and arrested two people, authorities said on Wednesday.
Police recovered dummy rifles, boots, clubs and other accessories used for training at the camp about 280 km (175 miles) south-east of the capital Dhaka.
"We have busted the training camp and launched a thorough investigation," Police Superintendent Mahbubur Rahman.
He said police met no resistance during the raid, but that all but two people at the camp had fled.
The two detained men - a cook and a servant - told police a teacher of an Islamic school sponsored the camp, which trained several groups of up to 50 people at a time.
Bangladesh police on Monday announced a reward of 50,000 taka (around $850) for information leading to arrest of Bangla Bhai, a Muslim outlaw accused of killing and torturing leftist opponents.
