It gives me immense personal satisfaction to note that today the country opens another golden chapter in its history as Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) accomplishes its five decades of service.
PIA is, undoubtedly, moving fast on the path of progress and successfully competing with the leading International Airlines of the world. PIA in its five decades of history experienced various ups and downs but it continued to carry forward Pakistan's image to the farthest corners of the globe.
There is no denying the fact that PIA is really indebted for today's progress and success to the dedicated and relentless efforts of its staff and senior management which have tremendously contributed to the elevation of the Airline's image in the world.
I congratulate and pay homage to the management and staff of PIA who by dint of their efforts not only made the company a profitable organisation but also one of the best Airlines of the world.
I wish success for the organization and hope that the company will endeavour to establish new standards of performance and success.
