PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has allocated huge amount for the developmental projects in two main sectors, mineral development and Labour with Rs. 620 million and Rs 90 million respectively.
According to budget details, the provincial government has allocated a sum of Rs 90 million for seven projects of labour department, while Rs. 620 million for the total 21 projects of mineral department.
Besides the ongoing schemes, the government would also start some new projects in both sectors.
In labour sector, a center for occupational safety and a health center would be established in the province and the figure of child labour would be ascertained through a survey.
Similarly, the provincial government has increased the minimum wages of labour workers upto 14,000 per month, the budget document revealed.
To explore the mineral resource in the province, the government would establish district office in Chitral besides setting up a mineral park and mineral processing zone in the province.
