Participation of people from all walks of life in peace and solidarity rally indicated the repugnance that masses have against all kind of terrorist activities in the country.
The rally was organised by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and was attended by the people from all sections of life including social, political and religious leaders.
The rally went through the main thoroughfares of the city and terminated at Haider Chowk.
Addressing the rally, religious scholar Maulana Noorul Hassan said that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught the faithful to lead a peaceful life and ensure that your fellow being should not sustain any harm by your act.
Maulana Masood Jamal appreciating the steps taken by the MQM by organising such a rally and by inviting people from all schools of thought said that such rally should be organised in all parts of the province to help promote peace and brotherhood.
Naib Nazim District Hyderabad, Nawab Rashid Ali Khan lauding the sprit of the people of the city who joined the peace rally in such a huge number said that it indicated the people's love for peace and condemned act of terrorism in any from.
The Muttahida leaders addressing the rally said that their party believed in peaceful co-existence and work for the elimination of evil and terrorist forces so that the people could live in peace and prosperity.
The participants of the rally throughout the march raised full-throated slogans like "down with terrorism", "long live national brotherhood and peace". They were carrying placards and banners inscribed with peace messages.
