Thai stocks edged higher for a second straight day on Thursday, helped by strong gains in auto-related shares and late buying by funds, analysts said.
The benchmark Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) composite index ended up 0.60 points, or 0.1 percent, at 612.21 points, and the big-cap SET 50 index rose 0.12 percent to 41.43 points.
Turnover increased to 13.8 billion baht ($340.2 million) from 11.2 billion baht on Wednesday.
"It seems some funds came in to support the market when the index nearly fell to 600 points," said Kim Eng Securities analyst Boontiam Larppoonpholdee.
