Pak-UK Defence Co-operation Forum held the first session of its two-day meeting here on Thursday to mull over the ways of strengthening defence relations between the two countries.
Pakistan side was led by Secretary Defence Lieutenant General (R) Hamid Nawaz Khan who was assisted by the senior military officials accompanying him.
The UK was represented by Permanent Under Secretary Defence Sir Kevin Tabbit at the 6th meeting of the Forum. Senior officials of Pakistan High Commission and British Foreign Office were present in the meeting.
Both sides held wide-ranging deliberations which included discussion on military and defence collaboration between the two countries.
The Defence Forum will hold its second session here on Friday to carry forward its discussion on matters of mutual interest.
The defence delegation called on British Secretary of Defence Geoff Hoon, British Chief of Defence Staff Sir Michael Walker and Deputy Chief of Defence Staff (Commitments) Lieutenant General Rob Fry and discussed with them matters of bilateral interests.
