Punjab University holds seminar on women's rights

The Punjab University's Department of women's studies arranged a seminar on the topic of 'Women Rights are Human Rights' at the Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology here on Saturday.
Vice-chancellor Arshad Mehmood while addressing the seminar called for giving equal rights to the women. He said that mother plays vital role in the development of a child.
Moreover, a meeting of Punjab University syndicate was held at committee room of administration block on new campus.
The meeting discussed tenure track system and improvements in the quality and standard of higher education.
Honorary Counsel General (Bangladesh) Qazi Humayun Fareed, Additional Secretary Finance, Additional Secretary Education, Dean faculty of Commerce, Principal Queen Marry College Dr Nasreen Akhtar Raza and Registrar PU attended the meeting.
