Fourteen people, including some formerly involved with Taleban and Hezb-i-Islami men, were involved in the killing of 11 Chinese workers in north-eastern Afghanistan, a military commander said on Sunday.
Ten people have so far been arrested over the brutal slayings while the investigation is continuing, Chinese news agency Xinhua and local commander General Mohammed Daud said.
"We have arrested another six suspects which will make a total of 10 people arrested in and around Kunduz province," Daud said.
Daud said Afghan authorities were still hunting another four suspects believed to be involved in the attack, with police scanning the entire area as far as Kunduz province's northern border with Tajikistan.
"They will be arrested," Daud added of the suspects.
"Our initial investigation shows that the attackers were 14 people in two vehicles," Daud told AFP earlier Sunday. "They are all Afghans".
